In order to help you plan for retirement you can use the online benefit projectors available via your online pension portal - 'Engage'.
Once you have logged in to your online account navigate to the 'Benefit Calculators' tile. A 'How To' guide is available to take you through the steps of using the Deferred benefit calculator.
If you would prefer you can contact the pension team to request an estimate of benefits to a future retirement date - please note we are limited to providing a maximum of two estimates per calendar year per employment.

Claiming your Deferred pension early?
If you intend to retire and claim your pension before your Normal Pension Age (NPA), we require a minimum of three months' written notice. Please e-mail your notice to info@berkshirepensions.org.uk
Please note: Deferred benefits paid earlier than your NPA will normally be subject to a reduction to take account of the fact that your annual pension will be paid for longer. The reduction applied depends on how early you are claiming your pension. The reduction is based on the length of time (in years and days) between the date you take them and the date your deferred benefit will be payable without a reduction for early payment. If you are unsure when your NPA is you can check your annual benefit statement or log in to your online account.
Ill-Health Retirement Estimates: If you require an estimate of pension benefits on ill-health grounds please contact your former employer directly.
The release of pension benefits in respect of ill-health is a decision undertaken by your former employer - therefore any requests relating to ill-health retirement must be directed to them
