As you may aware the Berkshire Pension Fund offers it’s active members the option to build up additional pension savings through the payment of Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs).

The Berkshire Pension Fund uses the Prudential as their AVC provider. Prudential are part of the M&G group. M&G, like many other insurance companies uses 3rd party administrators for some of the services they provide. One of these administrators is Diligenta.

Diligenta has been issued notice of industrial action by Unite. Industrial action will be taken by staff across the whole of Diligenta’s UK operation, including but not limited to the M&G UK locations in Reading, Stirling (Kildean) and Liverpool.

The action is being taken over 2 separate weeks:

•    12 January 2026 - 18 January 2026
•    26 January 2026 - 1 February 2026

M&G has conducted forecasting and impact assessments and it is anticipated there will be disruption to the delivery of some services on the impacted days and after the strike activity.

Additionally, contingency solutions have been established to mitigate the impacts as much as possible.

Prudential are encouraging customers to make use of their online facilities during these times by registering for MyPru.
