Requesting a Cash Equivalent Transfer Value (CETV)

As part of divorce proceedings, you may be asked to provide a Cash Equivalent Transfer Value (CETV).

Please put your request in writing stating in your letter or email that you require a 'Cash Equivalent Transfer Value (CETV) for divorce proceedings' and forward to the following address:

Please quote your National Insurance number on your request.

Active and Deferred members

Please note all active and deferred members with at least three months LGPS membership are entitled to one free quote every 12 months.

A charge will apply if you require a second CETV within a 12-month period.

Points to note: 

  • If a divorce debit exists on your pension account as a result of a Pension Sharing Order, the benefit calculators and Annual Benefit Statement on your online portal will not take this into account. Please contact the pension team directly to request an estimate of pension benefits if this applies to you
Retired members

If you are a retired member an initial charge will apply to provide a CETV for divorce purposes.
