Shared Cost Additional Voluntary Contributions (SCAVCs)
Some of our employers within the Berkshire Pension Fund also offer a Shared Cost Additional Voluntary Contribution (SCAVC) arrangement.
A Shared Cost AVC is an AVC plan arranged through the LGPS that both you and your employer contribute to.
Under a Shared Cost AVC arrangement you pay lower national insurance contributions as well as getting tax relief on the AVC contributions. Your employer would also pay reduced national insurance contributions.
If you are employed by one of tour employers listed below and you are interested in the Shared Cost AVC arangement please refer to your employer’s intranet for more information.
It is important, however, that you complete the application process for both Prudential and the Shared cost AVC provider.
